On the first night in Paris, my friend Courtney an I went to Montparnass, an area of Paris. It is home to the "Tour Montparnass" aka the huge tower above the Galleries Lafayette. We went up the tower and drank wine as we watched the sunset. A most gorgeous panoramic view from the roof of the building.
